wrong number       warbled moans -
they come from within; an
unmistakable shrill call from nature herself.
      this is the part -
one crashes onto the cool, porcelain
imitation of rubbish bins, where
forgotten memories of escapdes across
stained cotton plains and unwanted
floss are littered - lay hidden beneath
films of black and white (affairs that
were no longer current?)
      it coaxes;
convinces the subconscious
that i was indeed the chosen one, for
there was an urgent need in
cleansing those mud-like monsters or
blimish liquid disguised a
orange trees and crinkly grins Someday -
we'll sit on that tree, of
those glossy green leaves and oranges
that never get too ripe. We'll climb,
to that highest branch where the
peeling bark will leave
crinkly footprints on our
blue jeans: like that sky filled with
clouds that never seem too high. And we'll,
we'll pry the rims of those oranges
with our fingers that interlock
together - fingers that never fail
to fit too well - until they turn
yellow: just like the never-fading juice.
And we'll gift ourselves with
a silly laughter until our lips are full of
citrus bloom. And we'll stay there,
until the names we carve
go up in smoke.
Untitled: Experience Chinese I observe:
the gesturing of exclamation marks and
nodding of uncomfortable heads - pretending
to understand the points, the information.
But leaving with nothing except
the dry parched grass, and those
lingering flashbacks of stone cold benches;
the odour of graphite against wood – or was it the breath
of frequent yawns?   Maybe it was the sight of those
unfamiliar convoluted characters? Or maybe –  
it was the fidgeting and unnatural, occasional voicing of
opinion; it lapses into another full circle of quiet
clicks and knocks. Because it is Chinese,
and no one will conform. So the droning and fortitude of

Of all the broken tears, The rain was ironically dry that day. You smile and laugh as you greet the people - whom you insist that are just putting on a mask of sorrow; a facade. No one really notices, really, as you clench your fists and try to hide the sorrow. You had to reassure them that you were doing fine, that you somehow managed to disassociate yourself from this whole event. But somehow, even as you try to look sane on the outside, it is evident you are falling apart on the inside. You sigh, and hope - really hope, no one notices the tracks of your tears.
